Chaz Lanski

To honor the memory of our friend, Chaz Lanski, a scholarship fund for his infant son, Carson Edward Lanski, will be established. The details of the fund's structure and operation will be determined shortly. Several of ASC's financial professionals have volunteered to help nurture the fund without fee, and I will provide the fund with pro bono legal assistance.

In order to determine how best to raise funds, I would appreciate it if anyone who is interested in donating any amount of money (or, in the alternative, goods which may be sold/auctioned to raise money for the fund) could drop me an e-mail at: MDGEsq@AOL.Com. If you would feel comfortable doing so, please also advise me of the amount which you might consider donating. All information collected will remain confidential.

Chaz's wife Kim, his parents, and Kim's parents were absolutely thrilled that we wanted to do this for his son. I hope we can pull it off, successfully enough so that neither Kim nor Carson have to worry about paying the costs of his education.

In the interests of disclosure, I have been advised that we need to collect approximately $10,000 (i.e., 100 donations of $100 or some other combination netting the same amount) by the end of 1998 in order to finance tuition, books, room and board at Rutgers University (the State University of New Jersey) in 2015, when Carson will be ready to attend college.

Thanks for all the support all have offered Chaz's family during this time of loss.
