We've already got a fine cabinet humidor that has been custom commissioned especially for this event by a friend of the crawl. It will be approximately 7 feet tall and the upper cabinet will have glass doors that will display approximately 20 boxes and a lower section that will hold approximately 40 boxes and also the electric humidifier. (you provide the cigars, well most of them:-)) One lucky crawler is going to take it home with them in the doorprize drawing.
I've got no idea what Lew Rothman, Brenda Eargle and the fine folks at JR Cigars have in mind since they want it to be a surprise, but just visiting the store is fun and enjoyable enough for me. Our thanks go out to Lew, Brenda and the fine folks at JR Cigars.
Rule has been generous enough to donate one of his world-famous Herf'dor Humidors to the crawl.
Did I mention that crawler John King is gifting the crawl a set of custom golf clubs? In his own words: "the golf clubs it will be 3 woods driver 3w and 5w set of irons 3-pw, they will be custom fitted with a form for the winner to fill out , it will take about 3 weeks or sooner to make them up"
I've also just heard from the Fuente/Newman folks and they've agreed to be a sponsor. The CigarFamily, has decided to donate one of its Diamond Crown Corcorde humidors to the crawl. I've decided to do something a little different with this doorprize. A while back there was a post on ASC about how we maybe should consider benefiting a charity when we have these mega-cigar events. I think we ought to give it a try! We're going to have a cash raffle for this prize with all the proceeds going to the local chapter of The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Since they are a qualified charitable organization for tax deduction reasons you may want to write out a check to the National MS Society for your drawing tickets. Notice I said tickets, well the tickets are $5 for one, $10 for three and $20 for eight chances to win this wonderful 'dor and help a good cause.
