Just a mile or so down from "Tower Cigar Shop" on 16th Street, this family run shop rolls ALL of their own cigars, right in front of you. This is a no-frills, VERY low-overhead operation. The shop is a converted butcher shop and the humidor is what once was the meat locker!
Looks aside, you are greeted with a friendly smile and often free samples,
especially if you tell them it is your first visit and Casillas' wife isn't
around. There is a good selection of various sized cigars and wrapper types.
Recommended tries include "The Casillas" in maduro, the double corona robusto
in maduro and the "Presidente". Most cigars range in the price range of
$3.00 to $5.00 with a couple of offerings in the range of $7.00 to $10.00.
They also
have a shop located in Reno, NV. (Review by: Chris Annoni) Hours and price comparisons needed. Anyone?

The person to talk to here is "Doug". Their "Supreme's" are excellent for the price. They have been kind enough to sponsor one of our special events at "Club Bien Bien" in San Francisco where part of the proceeds went to the "Asian American Donor Program". (Review by:

An oasis in a desert of candy and ice cream shops! They feature a large walk-in humidor and an air-conditioned smoking lounge with coffee, comfortable leather chairs and reading materials. They have a good selection of cigars (Fuente's are limited to 2 per size, per customer, per day), pipe tobacco and accessories at reasonable prices. The staff is quite helpful and courteous. This is no "Tower Cigar Shop", but it is a well placed, well outfitted, serious, tobacconist that will get plenty of my business in the future. Old Sac' is a fantastic place to walk around and enjoy a fine smoke. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think!

A very nice store with a large selection of premium cigars, including Arturo Fuente's, in their large walk-in humidor. They also feature private rental lockers and a good selection of accessories. This is a very classy store and it appears to have the lowest prices in the valley! (Review by: MR. H)

Old Town Cigar Shop : 111 Sacramento St., Suite
"E", Auburn, CA 95603
916-887-9533 --- Auburn is precisely half-way between San Francisco and Reno, right on Highway 80. Old town Auburn can be seen from the freeway. The shop is about 100 yards off the freeway, inside Gold Rush Plaza, a very old mini-mall. They feature a walk-in humidor and best of all: a smoke room with darts and cigar magazines and atmosphere! A bit of trivia: if you saw the movie "Phenomenon" with John Travolta, remember when he walked out of the bar and looked up at a flag pole, and saw the flash of light that gave him special powers? That flag pole is on the top of Gold Rush Plaza, where this shop is located. A "must see" if you're in the area. Hours and price comparisons needed.
Newsbeat : ???? "E" Street (between 3rd and 4th
St.), Davis, CA

A newspaper store and international magazine store. Also a tobacconist. Excellent humidor with very good selections. Quite a variety from the low to the high-ends. More reasonable prices than "Nugget" (below). No Dunhill's, Ashton's, or Davidoff's though. You'll have to park on the street and beware of Davis' traffic court! Also, it is a nonsmoking town.. $50.00 fine for 1st offense.. you are warned! (Review by: Herman
Hedriana)

Excellent, well-stocked humidor. Friendly workers with
one or two aficionados. This is in my neighborhood and a frequent stop
for most golfers that play at the El Macero Course. They have reasonable
prices, about $1 more than "Newsbeat" (above) in downtown Davis. Unfortunately,
Davis is a "NO SMOKING" town and there are no smoker friendly bars or restaurants. Well priced Ashton Magnums ($13.99), Thomas Hinds, Zino's, Macanudo Portofino, Don Tomas ($4.99 - 8.99), Dunhill's, Te-Amo, Indio, Hoyo's, etc. They also have an excellent wine selection. Virginia and Jack's walk in humidor is simply the biggest and the best! I have been all over the S.F. Bay Area and have yet to find one nicer. Her cigars are somewhat expensive, but her selection is always fantastic. It will take you a long time to decide on what to purchase. Once you find it, hang out and enjoy your cigtar with the staff or other customers in their relaxing cozy shop. (Review by: Chris Reagan)

By far the best and oldest cigar shop in Sacramento (Since 1967). It is a father and son owned shop that has a very broad selection of cigars. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very competitive for the area. This is definitely a worthwhile visit if you are in downtown Sacramento. Typical cigars in stock; some LGC's, AF's, Avo's, Mac's, H.Upmann, HdM's and many newer premium cigars like Hamilton's and Playboy Cigars. They also have a wide variety of pipes and pipe tobacco as well as smoker's accessories and humidors. (Review by: Chris Annon) Price comparisons needed.
