The Waimanalo Herf & Surf was held in June, 1997 at ASCer's Jim Mulligan's beachfront home in Waimanalo. Let me tell you...it was another one of those classic Hawaiian days so beautiful that it could have only been created by God! And Jim's place was simply unbelievable! A large grassy backyard shaded by huge lumbering palm trees gently swaying in the wind along one of the finest white sandy beaches on the island with the majestic Koolaus in the background and hang gliders soaring above us! Simply breathtaking! I didn't realize there were places like this in Hawaii!!!

Thank you Jim for offering the use of your home and for so generously providing the Heini's! And thank you Garrett Ing, Andrew Hiraoka and Scott Whitney for the ono char siu, lively conversation, witty humor, delicious cigars and warm aloha! Can hardly wait for the next event!
