1997 Honolulu Herf @ Da Club

Hawaii's first and only high end cigar club, The Havana Pacific Club opened in April 97. Bill Medeiros from Maui (aka the Makule Guy and hereinafter referred to as The Instigator!) thought it would be fun if we could encourage the club to waive the normal $50 entrance fee and get together for an afternoon of food, drinks, shootin the breeze, and smoking great cigars! Great idea Bill, because it turned out to be our largest get together yet with 16 attendees...a significant increase from the Waikiki Mini Crawl which had 5 and the December crawl which had 3!

The club was everything they said it would be...buttery soft leather chairs & sofas; elegantly decorated; exceptional service; and a stunning view of Ala Moana Beach Park & the deep blue Pacific ocean! Thanks to our generous sponsors, we all received Cigar Express T-shirts, a cigar sampler with Casa de Klafter Cigars, Chessman Royal Reserve Cigars, and La Cosecha Cigars in addition to a drawing for a Cigar Savor, and numerous cutters! Cigar Express, Green Mountain, and Coyote Cigar Stuff...thank you for supporting our event!

What can I say...it was another unforgettable day, making new friends, herfing great cigars, and spreading the aloha spirit! Be sure to come to our future events...these are a really cool, classy bunch of guys who all share a common passion...the love of the leaf. Thanks gang...it was an honor meeting you and I look forward to seeing you all again at the next event!
