Java, Jazz & Blues is located in the restored "old town" part of St. Charles, Missouri, complete with cobbled streets and gas lights. Old town St. Charles is a quaint, mile-long street of antique shops, craft stores, coffee shops and ice cream
parlors just one street up from the Missouri Riverfront (not far from the St. Charles Riverboat Casino).
Java, Jazz & Blues is an eclectic coffee house with "living room" seating as well as traditional tables. There is a small humidor on the bar, but I saw it more as an invitation to smoke than an invitation to buy, as their selection was small and pricey.
Java, Jazz & Blues is a great place to go and listen to good music, good conversation and smoke a good cigar (if you already have one). Their coffee is first-rate and they have indescribable hand-dipped milkshakes in flavors for every taste (including "Kiwi Fruit"). The place is decorated in a combination of antiques, amateur art and junk including a fascinating aquarium installed in an old television console. House coffee (with refills) is $2.50 as are the milkshakes. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
