Brown's Cigar Store In the heart of Corning's Historic District, you can tell you're in for a treat standing outside the shop.
This shop has been in the family and in business for over 100 years, Brown's is the store you wish you had in your home town.
The store is owned by Terence Smith. A nicer guy you couldn't meet who's knowledge is only exceeded by his gracious way of sharing it.
A decent range of cigars at reasonable prices (they do mailorder), this is a shop not to be missed if you are in the area.
After you're done looking down at the cigars, make sure you look up or you'll miss the cigar related antiques displayed on top of the cabinets.
C&C Tobacco Outlet Conveniently located on Rte 13/34, this shop is where to go for cigars in Ithaca. Owned by Chris Osborn, it features
a few cabinet type humidors as well as a narrow walk in. A surprisingly large assortment of cigars and other tobacco products.
A busy place, Chris is a nice guy to talk to between customers. Sundays from 5-9pm he offers 10% off all singles and boxes.
Paco's Cigars This was the only sane place in a sea of high cigar prices in Rochester. There were a couple of places with a better selection,
but the prices were so outrageous, you feel dirty and cheap when you walk out with a purchase. Not so at
Paco's. Cleverly disguised as a Beauty/Barber Shop, the owner has found a unique way to allow you to see what he has without him
standing over your shoulder to make sure you aren't robbing him blind. He has a display case that shows one of each of the cigars
he has in stock under which is a card that tells you about the cigar including price. When you find what you want, you ask him for it
and he goes and gets it. If you are looking for fair prices in the Rochester Area, this is the one shop to go to.
Pipe and Pouch Located in the downtown area of Kingston, this small shop is the closest place to Central NY for Cuban Cigars. Kingston is a great place to spend
a day, with a number of things to do close at hand. This shop has it's own line of cigars called Faegan's, you'll see them hanging from strings in the walk-in
humidor. The supply of other Cubans is limited, but prices are reasonable (well, as reasonable as they can be in Canada).
O.J.'s Coffee & Tobacco Shop OJ's is a small shop owned and run by Brain Odrzykoski near downtown Rome. There are currently 2 wall humidors, but Brian is thinking about putting in a
walk-in. While not the largest number of cigars, the range is such that you shouldn't have a problem finding something you'd enjoy smoking. Brian use to be on
the road selling cigars, so he is very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. A true lover of the leaf (he has a Micro Torch and has never been on the Internet!), can't think of a better place to spendy a rainy or wintery day shooting the breeze.
Pipes Unlimited Located in an old house just off Genesee St. a couple of miles south of downtown, Pipes Unlimited is owned by Bob Smith who has been in business 23 years.
The humidor is the former front room and was surprisingly well stocked for a small town cigar shop. Had a real nice visit here and look forward to returning.
