Bobalu's located on 6th street provides some nice scenery. Slightly beyond the pulse of 6th street Bobalu's can provide an escape from the din of clubs on 6th. The store sports multiple tables and adequate seating for a large group of people. The tables are each adorned with various large pieces of brassware and pottery turned ashtray.
The store also sports a well-sized humidor stocked with cigars manufactured by the company in San Diego. While only sporting the house line there are many different types of cigars and there should be one to fit almost any taste. The cigars show average construction and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Multiple wrappers are used as well as different blends from the Dominican Republic and Honduras. In addition Bobalu's does offer some good deals on their sampler packs allowing the consumer to try various types of cigars at a good price.
Prices on the cigars cover a wide range and for the money appear to be a decent buy. The staff is friendly and courteous. Bobalu's offers complimentary `Cuban Coffee' to its patrons and sodas and bottled water are available as well. The building has a good ventilation system, which needs to be on constantly on in order to stop the room from becoming a blue haze.
In addition to cigars Bobalu's also sells a wide range of accessories. Bobalu's carries a few humidor models, various cigar cutters as well as cigar cases and apparel. Additionally Bobalu's is one of the few places in Austin to sport Blazer products (various models) and Blazer Fuel. |
