Hero's and Legacies is located in the upscale Arboretum shopping complex. The store is quite large and maintains a well-stocked humidor. At one point in 1997 nearly every cigar in stock was drastically overpriced. The staff claimed it was due to the distributors but personally I think it was the rent. The prices however, seem to have stabilized somewhat on most brands. Be prepared to pay top dollar for the more sought after brands however! Conditions in the humidor seem to vary considerably. I do not know if this is due to the amount of walk in traffic or a simple lack of knowledge in part of the staff. I would recommend being very selective in cigars you purchase from the humidor as I have seen both temperature and humidity levels fluctuate wildly on any given day In addition to cigars H&L carries a wide variety of cigar accessories as well as humidors. The humidors cover a wide variety of styles and prices. In 98, Hero's & Legacies began to advertise their cigar lounge. What they neglected to state in their ads however was that there was a price tag attached. I was aware of the price tag however; I found the lack of mention in their advertisement (which had the tone of "Come on down") deceptive. For those interested the price tag for membership to the smoking lounge is $500 a year. This includes a locker, which you can store cigars in. The owner of the locker has the only keys and the staff encourages you to store whatever you like in your locker. The lounge is nice. Sporting a satellite television and some very comfortable furniture. The lounge does not serve alcohol but you may bring your own to store at the lounge. The lounge is climate controlled so you need not worry about cigars stored in lockers located in the lounge.
