Wiggy's is an interesting spot. Located on 6th street near Mopac a number of directionally challenged folks find it almost as difficult to find as the Lone Star Bakery. The shop sports a cigar store Indian to greet customers at the entrance. Wiggy's is a liquor store with a wide selection of alcohol for nearly any occasion. In addition Wiggy's sports an impressive array of cigars when compared with any other local liquor store turned trendy. I would have to say that if Wiggy's only sold cigars it would be a fair tobacconist. You never really know what your going to find at Wiggy's and the stocking system is to say the least, a bit chaotic. While everything is somewhat organized and labeled you may be forced to do some searching before finding what you seek. The best thing you can do is to hope that John is there and ask him to help you find what you're looking for. This year they and added an additional humidor in the back of the store so be sure to get of the employees to escort you back into the stock room to have a look at another fine humidor. This second humidor has additional brands and sizes that the front humidor may not have. It also contains a few shelves that stock additional cigar cutters, ashtrays and the like. Some of the singles may seem a little overpriced but don't let that stop you from asking about box prices. You may be pleasantly surprised with what you find. Wiggy's carries a lot of variety. Many brands typically not found in the large mail order or typical retail chain stores. To the staff's credit however, I have yet to say I have smoked a bad cigar from Wiggy's. The humidor is small but the staff has arranged it to hold quite a few boxes of cigars. In the front on the counter you will find a glass case with various cigars brands. In addition along the back wall you will find a second glass case which contains a fair number of gadgets (cutters and lighters) but no ashtrays or humidors. The case also contains the elusive Red Lion, which will remain elusive from my humidor due to the price. It isn't over priced (so I hear) but it is around $20. Don't get me wrong, the Red Lion is a big cigar (9x60 I think) but there is something to be said for too much of a good thing! The staff does tend to love Padron's so be prepared for a sales pitch. If you like Padron's the folks at Wiggy's seem to have a near inexhaustible supply. While not nearly so fortunate with the Fuente line Wiggy's always seems to have La Unica's. The other nice thing about Wiggy's is that the staff is fun to talk to and if you're interested in wine at all they have some pretty knowledgeable folks. The other thing that is always nice is that they don't mind opening up boxes to get singles and always encourage you to light up and shoot the breeze
